From 1 October 2026, the prices we charge for .au domains are going up. Sorry about that.
These price increases are the result of wholesale .au domain costs going up about 10%, a change that will be affecting all .au domain registrars and retailers. The changes will apply to any .au domain regardless of the subdomain, including.au, .com.au, .org.au, .net.au, etc.
As is always the case here at SiteHost, the exact cost of each domain depends on the total number of domains (whether .au or anything else) in your portfolio. The below table has all the updated .au prices:

Still time to grab the old price
If you’re reading this before October 1, you can still get .au domains at our old prices. Get your domain registrations or renewals before then to lock in some more years at today’s lower rates.

What’s causing the change?
We have the benefit of being an .au domain registrar, which lets us register your .au domains directly without going through a reseller. However, we still have to source domains from our wholesaler who set the baseline price.
In this case, we supply domains directly from auDA—as direct as it gets. They’re a non-profit organisation tasked with keeping the .au domain space healthy and growing, which all signs indicate it is. When auDA changes prices, it directly affects how much it costs us to supply .au domains to you.

Until October 1 you have the chance to lock in the cheaper rate for any .au domain registrations or renewals.
